Diving the wreck of the Benwood in Key Largo
A WWII era cargo ship that is 30 minutes off of Key Largo and known as one of the fishiest dive sites in the area. The wreckage lies in 20 to 40 feet of water, is easy for navigationally challenged divers and rarely has current. Today was no exception.
The wind was out of the east 15-20 kts, 1-3 ft rollers coming through, no current, and 35 ft of viz. Not the best viz, but good enough for the snorkeling mom to follow around her diving family, until she spotted the schools of fish and decided to follow them instead.
I guess she can always watch her family, this was her spring break too!
