Green Moray Eels and clear blue water on St. Patricks Day at Molasses Reef
The green moray eels on Molasses Reef must have known they were safe from St. Patrick. He may have chased the snakes out of Ireland, but the eels on Molasses are untouched and were sporting green loud and proud.
The divers said the two they saw were six feet long, I'm sure they'll be eight feet by dinner time after a some green beer.
Conditions were also a holiday: wind ENE 12 kts, seas 2 ft, just a touch of current, and 50-60 ft of viz.
Happy St. Patricks Day!
Capt. Eric
